Molten (Brazen) Sea
The great bronze basin of Solomon's temple, ten cubits across and five deep, thirty cubits around, holding two thousand baths of water. It rested upon twelve oxen, three toward each point of the compass.
Symbolic meaning
A vast provision for cleansing, upheld by the twelve — the whole household of Israel supporting the priestly service.
