The Armor of God
Ephesians 6:10–18 — the whole armour with which the believer stands.
| Piece | Meaning | How to Take It Up |
|---|---|---|
| Belt of truth | Reality steadying every other piece | Live in the truth of who God is and who you are in Christ |
| Breastplate of righteousness | The gift of Christ's righteousness, kept over the heart | Refuse condemnation; walk uprightly |
| Shoes of the gospel of peace | Firm footing where the good news is known | Be ready always to give reason of the hope in you |
| Shield of faith | Trust that quenches the fiery darts | Meet every accusation with the finished work of Christ |
| Helmet of salvation | Assurance of God's saving hold | Guard the mind with what God has said |
| Sword of the Spirit | The word of God, the only offensive piece | Wield Scripture as Jesus did in the wilderness |
| Prayer | Praying always with all prayer and supplication | Watch, pray for all saints |
